curiousity

Sometimes subjects just keep popping up, and I have to write about them.

In this entry on Scripting News, Dave talks about the little orange XML buttons. He ends witht he thought that when most people see something they don't understand, most of the time they just skip it and move on with their life.

I suppose I've done that myself, but more often than not, I try to find out what something means. I may become obsessed with it, devoting hours of searching to find out, or the more likely scenario is that it just sits in the back of my mind, waiting for that "Eureka!" moment when I learn the little bit of information that ties back to the unknown. The moment when everything falls into place is one of my favorite things in the world.

Curiosity defines my existence in such a way that I cannot imagine what it would be like to just wander by some unknown thing and not try to figure it out.
