A web log about stuff

So, I spent the last 6 hour's hacking XSLT with my new book xslt programmer's reference by Michael Kay. And I did it I figured it out! Download this file and you can now take any outline xml file and make it into a compact radioPoint slide show.  RCS won't let me upload .xslt  so you will have to download and unzip the package. Just double click the infoworld.xml file and it will open in internet explorer.

And if that wasn't exciting enough Shakeel Mahate wrote one to. I will write to him and see if he has it public somewhere.

Update: Ok there is some cools stuff in Shakeel's xslt. He has the css and javascript embeded. And the code seems a lot cleaner than mine you can tell that I just hacked it.  I have not heard back from him yet so I guess will have to wait till tommrow to post it.

What is the difference between this file and this file?

Well beyond the obvious! The first one is OPML and valid XML. But wait so is the second one. Here is the catch the second one is also valid XHTML.

What the real difference here I think it just the tag names! One has OPML,"outline" and the other has "html","div". Could the OPML driver be modified to generate the second one?

Update: Believe it or not this is almost 100 percent OPML the only difference being that OPML uses "outline" tag and this  one uses  a "div" tag. View the source to see the details.
