Phones (one current obsession: Bluetooth, GPRS [gps?]. There was a presentation about a GPRS+GSM tracking system for MIT Shuttles. This seems like a very useful application!):

Spent Friday at the Hekate conference. It is interesting attending a conference in your home city. My day to day chores kept me from immersing myself fully. Despite the engaging people and sessions, it is hard knowing there will be a hundred emails to answer when I get back home.

It is interesting to see my city (Vancouver) through the eyes of a visitor. I love my city and think it has a lot to offer, but have settled down into a routine that involves a small set of attractions. For example, I always eat at a small handful of locations and have no sense of how my faves overlap with others.

The list of restaurants distributed to conference attendees held a number of surprises. I know only about one third and would love to find out about the others!

The Chili Club Thai restaurant
Cin Cin
Kitto
La Bodega (one of my old favourites!)
le Crocodile
IchibanKan
Rain City Grill
Stephos (fabulous, but always a long line!)
Shanghai Chinese Bistro
C Restaurant

I wonder how many of these have been reviewed on Van Eats?
