business as usual... the stock hawkers on wstreet continue to squeeze every penny they can out of investors. they make a huge media event out of amazons pro-forma profit which afaiu (as far as i understand) was a one-time profit from eurobonds.. without that speculation it would have lost $11 million and not have seen a 25% price-run friday.

the obvious is not what it seems.

Confucius. "The superior man, when resting in safety, does not forget that danger may come. When in a state of security he does not forget the possibility of ruin. When all is orderly, he does not forget that disorder may come. Thus his person is not endangered, and his States and all their clans are preserved." [Adam Curry: CurryDotCom]

This is an IbLog, an ibLog, an iBlog... yes, an iBlog, an i-blog!

as of today google returns 1701 hits on the term and not one of the links on the first pages uses the term the way i mean it. thus it being saturday before my first cup of coffee i declare myself owner of this term.

howzthat? <g>

this iblog, is intelligent, independent, integral. it is where 'I' weblog..

this 'I' is embarking on his third or fourth career depending on how you count and could care less what you think. thus as this set of logs is not going to be operated from a place of 'for you -ness' i shall use the term iblog rather than blog for what i'm doing here.

i dont know how long i'll iblog, but at least there it is. screw blogging. most of what i see are either in the hidden faces/tech/speciality/'o this will be great marketing', professional, news hawking or fake persona 'bin' - from my reading experience since 95.

this will be all of that, but its where i-blog. i see noone walking this line that perhaps now only i can see.. if others can see it, the i-blogging vs weblogging, then they better start distinguishing.

on to get some milk for coffee.

Scientific American: Feature Article: Television Addiction: February 2002: "Grabbing Your Attention What is it about TV that has such a hold on us? In part, the attraction seems to spring from our biological "orienting response." First described by Ivan Pavlov in 1927, the orienting response is our instinctive visual or auditory reaction to any sudden or novel stimulus. It is part of our evolutionary heritage, a built-in sensitivity to movement and potential predatory threats."

who'd have thought that? <g> a body at rest stays at rest  .. they can't well say that it's regressive behaviour to suck on the tube.  browsing can be like that.. alpha-wave day dreaming link following.  bookmarking takes you out of that.. and link/diary building is quite more constructive.  so there. more obviousness :)
