i dont know if there's a fancy term for finding someone who says in a book what you've been thinking and practicing, what you've been struggling with - in your words. I put those people on my hero-list and try to steal as much from them as i can.

i've run into 'the right' books many times in my life -- but David Deida, who gave me words for what had only been feelings; and Brad Blanton, who's made books and classes out of what i'd thought was 'my idea' (from the mid '80s), get the hero awards for last year.

12+1 overnight spams processed in 40 seconds. 2 filters added. spamthing is a customizable monolith now. its good enough to make a distribution out of it. main feature: enables eudora to forward mail with complete headers intact.

call it related to mercury's 'angular speed' - which is as slowly grinding backwards this week as you're gonna get - it'll seems to stop and turn around friday am -

i've been waking up well yet with nothing on my mind but the bl*dy pc. non-productive time's creeping in here; its hard to stretch and get some distance from the 'must click and code' vibe. small kinds of control driving out the big; enthusiasm and passion are good, yes, but getting this wrapped up in technology is about the worst possible thing for me. envisioning, designing, prototyping, reading.. its like alcohol to a drunk and i know this slippery slope of coffee, trail-mix and wrestling with op's ideas.

i need a reset to 80/20 functioning around this new floor of pc-functionality (built since dec).

this morning part of me was dreaming itself forced to watch juggling in a 'look mom, no hands' performance by a big kid juggling toy models. that was a waste of time, annoying and distracting too. have to think about where and why i got the ticket for that. i'm really on the way elsewhere.

nothing is eaten as hot as it's cooked.
