I guess if parts of Mars can get to Earth, then parts of Earth could get to the moon. Could take a lot of searching, though. 10:53:40 PM

Cooperating had a greater effect than deserting when woman participate in the Prisoner's Dilemma. This is a further buttress to the idea that community and altruism may be hardwired into our system. Perhaps hunter-gatherers that got a thrill by helping each other while those that did not were less successful. 10:45:46 PM

Looks like everything is holding together. I'm off to FedEx my severance agreement to Amgen. SO much to do ;-) 2:27:05 PM

Well, lots of fun. As soon as I say something nice about everything, I got a fatal error. I have spent that last few hours restoring from backups. I thought I might have lost all of the last few days but I was able to find them. Now I have a few more backups.
Here is what I was trying to post.Well, tonight I hope to work on recreating my newsfeeds that I had done at work. I had used Stapler to create feeds for 50 journals that we got online. I can't get all of them now but at least I can get the abstracts for several. I also had worked out how to use PubMed to scrape searches. I hope to have that all done by the end of the week. 2:12:21 PM

The Outdoor Games are great!! It is like having a year's worth of the old Wide World of Sports in a single week. I have gotten to watch small dog agility trials, bass fishing, guys with axes and saws destroying lumber, archery, and men's log rolling (my favorite).
Log rolling has big guys, little guys, surfer dudes and good ole boys.It looks comical because when you lose you end up in the drink, but it is extremely technical to do at this level and requires lots of concentration. They use soccer shoes that they rip the outsole off of and glue on soccer spikes. I guess no one has a Nike contract. ;-) 10:55:22 AM

Okay, I will work on spelling at a later date. 10:43:24 AM

First Monday without a job ;-) Spent the weekend updating my cv to include the internet work I did, as well as the newsletter I worked on. I really want to work on increasing the ability of scientists to disperse knowledge, using tools like Radio.
But, what is nice about working from home: I'm listening to The Eagles singing Hotel California from Hell Freezes Over on my iPod, while ripping Carlos Santana to my Firefly drive using iTunes, watching The Outdoor Games on ESPN (muted of course) and working on my weblog on my wireless network. This is really nifty. Someone pay me to do this all the time, please!! 10:41:45 AM
