Microsoft filing shows losses in four divisions. But Windows remains big money maker [InfoWorld: Top News]
Dataquest: Economy curbs PC recovery. Users hanging on to computers longer [InfoWorld: Top News]
MS monolpoly in operating systems is completely driving its profits. If it ever lost this, it would be dead, since its other groups are all losing a lot of money. Luckily it can always raise money from OS by simply raising the licensing fee. But if people are not buying new computers, how will they raise proces? By moving to a yaerly subscription model. Then you will have to pay in perpetuity, no matter what. 3:33:48 PM

Just saw Harry Potter. Be sure to stick around until the end of the credits. It is a movie that will make this worthwhile. The rest of the movie was excellent. I still think Hermoine and Harry need to get together but we shall have to see. It was sad to see Richard Harris in his last role but he was marvelous. And Jason Isaacs makes the best bad guy, as he usually does (He is going to be Captain Hook next). 3:11:07 PM
