Oracle Recommends PHP over ASP.NET. Via PHPkitchen comes this Orace piece comparing ASP.NET with PHP. You wouldn't really expect an Oracle publication to come out stronly in favor of ASP.NET, but that said, the brief piece does make a good case for PHP -- its price, PHP5's new object features, speed, and platform independence are all good arguments in favor of it. I have a bunch of code I need to refactor to PHP5, but only have 5 running on one of my machines now. In the next couple weeks I hope to get started. 8:05:07 AM  Permalink  comment []
