Web Access on Handhelds [Slashdot]
The article is about AvantGo's plans to charge money for channels with more than eight subscribers. I don't see why people are worried. There's nothing special about AvantGo--it's just downloading pages designed to be PDA friendly. The URLs are hidden but it doesn't have to be that way. The companies that AvantGo wants to charge can just publish those URLs, and the PDA users can take care of things from there. For Newton users, that would even be an improvement.
