New blog: The Permissive Society. On Sunday I had lunch with fellow former St Andrean, James Stanley. I explained blogging to him, and he seemed very interested in setting one up himself. Remarkably, he is already up and running. I should warn you that he is very much a libertine and owns a velvet smoking jacket (although these are quite common in St Andrews). So if you are very conservative, you may find his blog... er... distrubing. The name of...
