In California, Gov. Schwarzenegger ordered Attorney General Bill Lockyer to "take immediate steps" to get a court ruling to make San Francisco stop gay weddings. Meanwhile, today President Bush backed a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage, saying he wants to stop activist judges from changing the definition of the "most enduring human institution."[About Civil Liberties] But how will enshrining anti-gay bigotry in the Constitution keep judges from changing the definition of prostitution or slavery? 5:57:26 PM    comment ()
