It's hard to give much credibility to one man who has betrayed his country for money saying that everyone else wants to do the same. Obviously it's in his interests to portray his treason as a perfectly ordinary and acceptable option, even if nobody else there thinks it is.

On the other hand, the Evil Empire has no trouble finding Americans to fill the ranks of its Gestapo agencies and Imperial Stormtroopers. It would be nice if the Iraqi people were better than Americans in that regard, but not very realistic, I fear.
