I was taking pictures at the Lunar New Year parade and festival in Chinatown yesterday and today. I was somewhat dismayed to find that a large section of the festival area had been set aside for propaganda and recruiting from various Gestapo agencies. It's not unusual to see recruiters for the LAPD, but this time there were around a dozen different agencies, complete with armed men standing around and photos of armored personnel carriers and soldiers (or policemen looking like soldiers) aiming weapons at the camera.

The parade was infested with politicians and bureaucrats, including the mayor and most of the city council, along with a bunch of others from neighboring cities. There were also quite a few cops, leading a European tourist standing near me to inquire what police had to do with Chinese New Years. Good question.

Hitting the Federation. Laredo TX: The feds captured more than 30 homemade bombs, grenade components, assault weapons, silencers, machine gun assembly kits, bulletproof vests, police scanners and cash, Julie Myers, assistant secretary of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said in a statement. The nerve of those Capitalists, exercising their Second Amendment rights. Where do they think this is--America?
