A Football Holiday
Today is the high holy day of college football. I will watch most of three, maybe four games. I'm a big Huskie fan and was really dissapointed with yesterday's game. After the glory years of Don James, the Dawgs have simply stunk in bowl games over the past nine years.
Meanwhile, my Seahawk prediction came true as Mike Holmgren dropped the title General Manager from his job description. This can only be a good move for a man who has simply been too distracted from his real job of coaching the team. Based on some of the things that happened over the past three years, I don't think he has the temperment or personality be a GM. Perhaps it would work if that were his only job.
I will be torn today between Oklahoma and Washington State. I am a Husky, so supporting WSU never comes easily. UO is one of my favorite programs going back to the first game I remember watching in 1972. None the less, I think this has the potential to be a great game. At least better then what we've seen so far. The only good game I've watched so far was the Florida-Michigan game.
Enjoy whatever you are doing today, relax, and forget your worries for one day...mj
