I Cried Real Tears...
I went and saw "Tears Of The Sun" tonight. I cried, I squeezed the arm of my chair, and jumped a couple times. Bruce Willis is simply perfect in this morality tale set in the dark heart of Africa. It is brutal in it's display of the reality of inter-tribal murder and genocide. I would absolutely say that no child under 16 should see this movie. Like news from the headlines, we are placed in the midst of Nigeria. The tribal hatreds, and the slaughter is portrayed in detail, the real side of this kind of war. In the west we have largely been involved in fairly benign wars, with only Vietnam approaching the intensity, and horror of what this movie depicts. Willis is given one of the best dramatic roles of his career, and his personality shines through his performance. I guess you could say I liked the movie...mj
