It looks like the Republican frenzy over anyone named Clinton continues unabated. I think it's amusing that they spend so much time and energy on Hilary. I still think she is the best hope for a female President in my lifetime.
Bush says he's glad he flew onto the carrier. The point here is that it is important to maintain the separation between the Presidency and the military. JFK, and Ike (real war heros) didn't wear uniforms while in office, and they maintained their distance. Add that to the fact that Bush dodged service during Vietnam, and actually did nothing during one year of his 'so called' time in the Guard. The administration flaks lied about the reason for the fly-in, saying it was required due to the distance from shore - right, if you turned around from his speech you could see San Diego. This was just another part of waging the tail. This trip was nothing more than a taxpayer-funded political stunt.
In Iraq it has turned out that Oil was what this was really all about. Not directly, but indirectly at the very least. Haliburton; a company Dick Cheney ran, has received a huge contract to rebuild, manage, and pump oil from Iraq. Nice deal, eh? George Bush is about two things. Taking away our freedom/liberty, and giving money back to his rich friends. People need to understand that the difference between Republicans and Democrats is that the Democrats believe in welfare for the poor, while Republicans believe in welfare for corporations, and the rich.
On another front, just what the heck were these kids thinking of? I have never understand what kind of idiot thinks that hazing rituals are ok. I hope that the kids involved get prosecuted, and kicked out of school. The Principal who says it's out of their jurisdiction needs to wake up.
