Time Off, Sorta.
I’m taking some time off today, or at least out of the apartment and into the streets.
There is an interview with yet another recruitment/headhunter/agent type so I can try and get back into the regular Dilbert workforce, another movie to see, and some much needed time to just wander around, look at things, and think.
Thinking is good, especially in relation to a telephone interview I need to shortly do with the photographer Jock Sturges, and this magazine piece to do with 24 Hour Party People. I’m tied down far too much to the computer, and the apartment, and especially the relentless flow of time across the world. I’ve got to find some kind of art/writing community here to hang out in.
And I’m always having to keep an eye on what time of day it is somewhere in the world. HourWorld is almost always open on my main computer.
Screenshot of HourWorld’s analog clocks interface. I think it’s a terrific Mac-only program, even if I do feel a bit enslaved to it at times.
