oh-da.com >> (review) This is great stuff (in my opinion) and today's pick also comes with a big bonus, in the form of a very cool online photo magazine where more of Ohda's work is featured in both Issue 10 (Osaka) and Issue 12 (Tokio2). Hope you're reading today Julius, 'cause I'm sure you're gonna like this one... ;~)) [Coolstop Daily Pick 11/26/03] [jenett.radio]

I'm back, and you are spot on, Joe. I like.

If you can't read this post, this is why.

(Shouldn't that headline be Transatlantic Cable Fault Disrupts Internet in Rest of World?)

Buddhist Fragments
I have added a new category to this site where I'm posting items relating to Buddhism. This is partly because I want a place to collect fragments of teaching which seem particulary pertinent to me at any particular time, and also because I want to try writing about somthing I care deeply about, rather than just pointing to things I care deeply about.

I'm not posting these to the main page of my weblog, but I'm about to add a link from the navbar. I will probably mention new items here as I add them. It's an experiment. Wish me luck.

US approves anti-spam legislation
Anti-spam campaigners, who have been demanding legislation, are very unhappy with the new law, our correspondent adds.

They wanted spamming to made completely illegal, and what they have got, they say, is a law that tells 23 million US businesses they are now free to send mass e-mails as long as they follow certain rules.
[BBC] [jenett.radio]

The basic problem seems to be that the legislators consulted with the spammers when they drafted the legislation. That's like getting input from burglars when drafting anti-theft law.

(In the UK we have new anti-social behaviour laws. Could spamming be covered?)
