Oh my Lord
I did talk a lot, didn't I?

Occasionally you get to read something typed by a million monkeys, but it's not often you get to go out for a drink with them afterwards.

It's still too early in the day for me to have anything resembling a coherent thought, but I can say that last night went beyond all expectations. What a great collection of funny, clever, lovely people.

The geek-quotient of the conversation was very low, though I do seem to remember complimenting a female weblogger on her RSS feed, smooth-talking devil that I am.

I met some of my regular UK reads, and plenty of new faces, and I only embarrassed myself a few times. (The venue was noisy, and it really did sound like the site name was pixelbeaver. No offence  meant).

Meeting people in the flesh does have one unexpected drawback: no permalinks.

Update: Thank goodness for the partial attendee list.

Q. How great was the UK Webloggers' Christmas Party?
A. Very great indeed.
