iPAQ Music Center. Compaq dropped the price of their iPAQ Music Center to $399, which is where these devices should have been from the beginning. It would be interesting to see a teardown of one of these. [Hack the Planet]

Staying with the topic of What's next - Bots over IM.

If the backend stuff for auto bots doesn't work any good today on the web why would it now work any better with Instant Messenging.  Unless I'm missing something here, it seems the same wall that this stuff hit on the web will be hit with IM.  It's not the GUI guys that needs the improvements, it's the backend, do something on the backend then we will all look and pat you on the back.

In my opinion I think the current hype for this will be over soon (nano bubble). What's next, "Talk to Google through IM"?

If someone knows of a website that implements something with bots on the web that really works today let me know.

Is BOTS over IM really what's next?

It's amazing how much energy a little sound byte on NPR about a new patent can generate in today's climate.  The signal to noise seems to be way up.

Look's like a Research project to me.
