Moblog script released

Via The Doc Searls Weblog:

Blog wider.

Joi is releasing his moblog script under a GPL license. He explains:

I've been getting a lot of attention for my moblog even though it's not such a big technical feat really. All you need is a script to convert email into MT entires. We're going to make the code available so that hopefully more people can experiment with moblogging. It's being made available under a standard GPL v.2 license. Please let me know what you think. We hope to continue to improve it.... Also, since it uses XML-RPC, it should be easy to get it to work with other blog platforms.

Mail to Radio

Scripting News -> Hey, if you want to mail to your weblog and you use Radio, no need to wait. It's had the feature since the product was released on 1/11/02. All you need is a mail account for it to use and then turn it on and you're ready to go. It works. No problem.

InfoWorld: Top News -> AT&T delays 3G, plans limited service by end 2004. Partner NTT DoCoMo agrees to a much reduced launch

"Delivering speeds of between 200k bps and 300k bps (bits per second), it is several times faster than GPRS (General Packet Radio Service), which runs at speeds of up to 60k bps and which the company has recently completed rolling out across its GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) network. It is also faster than the planned EDGE (Enhanced Data rates for GSM Evolution) service which is expected to be launched next year and will offer data transmission at speeds of around 118k bps."
