WiFi/Bluetooth/GPS digital camera

WiFi/Bluetooth/GPS digital camera. Well, Ricoh's new digital camera just totally one-upped that WiFi-capable digital camera from Sanyo we blogged about last week. The 3.24-megapixel Caplio Pro G3 has optional cards for adding WiFi, Bluetooth, or GPS (so you can stamp each photo with its exact coordinates) to the camera. Read... [Gizmodo]

Ricoh's Wi-Fi, GPS, or Bluetooth Connection

Ricoh's Wi-Fi, GPS, or Bluetooth Connection. Gizmodo reports on Ricoh's new camera that can take three networking types: Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, of course, but GPS is a neat twist: you can geographically mark where photos are taken. I can imagine a number of scenarios from public safety to family vacations where GPS plus some mapping software would be a neat addition. Talk about remembering where you've been!... New PacketVideo recorder enables consumers to create multimedia for videophones

3G News -> New PacketVideo recorder enables consumers to create multimedia for videophones

"The increasing availability of new video-capable phones has intensified consumer demand for video content. To enable consumers and service providers to encode video for their mobile phones, PacketVideo has released a new content creation tool called PacketVideo Recorder that accepts input from USB webcams, digital video cameras, and other popular video file formats and converts them to the industry standards-compliant .3gp file format for delivery to videophones. The new product is available for download from www.pv.com/shop, PacketVideo’s new web-based retail store. The purchase price is $29.99, and a 30-day free trial is available. "

Reboot 3GPP video version are online

I just noticed the 3gpp versions of the Reboot talks are posted online.  Only problem is I can't get them to run using Nokia 3gpp player or Quictime player with 3gpp extension.  Anyone have any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

John Robb's "Next big thing in weblogs"

My perspective on the current tool debate has changed.  My current perspective is that next big thing in weblogs isn't about how the tools, APIs, and features used, but rather the integration of weblogs into the larger world of search, information flow, and services.  I do still think it is a mistake to see the weblog world fragment on the technological level, but it was probably inevitable as the big vendors entered the market.  That is why I want to work on the Weblog network.  It isn't something the big vendors won't duplicate and if done correctly will enable highly focused and valuable micro content find a stable source of income.  Google's AdSense is the first baby step in this direction.  There are many, many others...
