I've been to Developer Shed several times, but never bookmarked it. Does a weblog entry work well enough? I don't know but it's an interesting idea.

I'm trying to figure out how to inject a little javascript into a rendered page and it is not going well.

I've been bombarded by mLife ads, and it turns out to be AT&T Wireless? Lame.

Theme Park Technology

Cory discusses and links to an article discussing a new ride queue management system being put in place at Six Flags properties. This sounds like it will be a boon for the parks.

Both Disney Land and Six Flags Magic Mountain have more manual processes like this in use now, and they are very convenient. The nice thing about the process right now is that you know exactly when to come back, and can plan accordingly, I hope they don't lose that with the new system. [bOing bOing]

SPML

OASIS has a standards track for an XML provisioning framework called Service Provisioning Markup Language (SPML). The list archives are open and available to non members. From the charter:

SPML will assume a pre-existing trust model between participating Provisioning Service Points and will utilize available security mechanisms for encryption and message integrity. The SPML specification will be developed with consideration of the following existing specifications (which are of public knowledge -- accessible and freely distributed): Active Digital Profile (ADPr), eXtensible Resource Provisioning Management (XRPM), and Information Technology Markup Language (ITML).

I've got to read Dave Barry more often: Enron was, in layman's terms, a nest of dirtballs. [Dan Gillmor]
