West Wing upstaged? This week's episode of West Wing was supposed to be new. At the appointed time, we turned our TV on only to see an episode of Law & Order: CI. Mid-way thru, a commercial for West Wing mentioned the new episode appearing next week. Then later in the show, a ticker ran across the top of the screen reading that West Wing would return October 29. A quick visit to the NBC website shows this equally cryptic message... There's no link, either, despite the appearance of an underline. My speculation is that they've been postponed because of the baseball playoffs. The weird part is how last minute these changes appear to be. The ticker listed a phone number for viewers to call with questions: 212-664-2333.
