GSM/GPRS version of the Treo 600 to be out on Monday?
The saga of the delayed Treo 600's continues. It appears that the GSM/GPRS version of the Treo 600 might be available on Monday, but only directly from Handspring. T-Mobile, Cingular, and AT&T Wireless won't have them until next month, but we're assuming that Handspring would be selling an "unlocked" version of the phone which would work with any of those three carriers. Macromedia buys eHelp

Macromedia has acquired eHelp, a company specializing in help authoring and demonstration software. Details about the acquisition are on Macromedia's site.

One interesting trend for Macromedia is the proclivity to buy small companies with products that output to Flash. It's an interesting example of the benefit of platform: define the standard, release it to the world, and let the market itself figure out how best to use it. Then buy the winners and roll them into your own revenue streams.

The Zalman Roast

Zalman is moving to another team, and moving to the city office. Ken organized a roast at Zalman's "going away" lunch today. It was clear from anyone who walked by our table of 20-odd people that Zalman is very much loved and will be missed dearly.
