Big problems with the Treo 600? :-( Rumors continue to spread that there is a serious bug with the GSM version of the Treo 600 (at least in the US) and that it could be as late as early December before they become available. No one seems to know precisely what's really going on. Meanwhile, Sprint's CDMA version of the Treo 600 (pictured at right) has been out for almost a couple of weeks now, prompting a few people to suggest some sort of sinister conspiracy between Handspring and Sprint to get people to switch carriers just to get their hands on the new Treo. Which is just crazy. Read... [Gizmodo] 9:37:18 PM ![]()       |
More Treo 600 While I was in Boston last week, I got to hold a Treo 600 (the GSM version, no less!). I was primarily interested in its size in relation to my current phone, a Nokia 68xx. These pictures are a little blurry, but convey what I wanted (I was shooting far too close). As you can see, the Treo is wider by about a third more, but not much taller. It's also a little thicker, but not by much. ...Will any of you actually be surprised when I finally buy one of these things!? ;-) 9:34:12 PM ![]()       |
Running out of steam My last class, International Marketing, was heavily disrupted by a week-long wedding trip to Hawaii, as well as a business trip to Boston. What's more, the instructor required all assignments on Monday night, which meant I was up past midnight most Mondays, working with team members in Alaska. After a dismal week 1, I recovered enough to earn a solid B, which whacked my GPA a bit.
Now I'm in my last full class at UoPhx, the capstone course, and find myself gritting my teeth thru it. This capstone course seems to be a combination ethics review and coursework measurement. The instructor seems nice enough, but requires that each discussion questions include citations and references, which in effect turns each DQ into a mini-essay. Now, instead of jotting off a response during a break in the day, I have to spend my entire Sunday morning researching and composing my responses... and I have a full 1200-word paper due tomorrow as well.
In short, I've lost momentum for this coursework. My heart isn't in it anymore. I'm so close to being done, and all I want to do is throw my fists up and scream at the top of my lungs. The business of weblogs is calling me, and I feel so distracted. 12:39:42 PM ![]()       |
