Just read a very cool article at SFGate.com on a new mission to Jupiters moons called JIMO (Jupiter
Icy Moons Orbiter). What makes this different from other missions to
Jupiter or other places in our solar system is that the focus of the
mission is to discover life.
Jupiters moon Europa is probably the best candidate in the solar system
for harbouring extra-terrestrial life. If we don't find life there we
will most likely have to wait hundreds of years until our technology
evolves enough to travel to other solar systems to disover life
somewhere other than earth.
The JIMO mission is still in the planning stages, but is slated to be
launched in 2010. But it does bring about the possiblity that life
could be discovered on another planet before I reach 40.

There can be no justification for breaking international law or
viloating basic human rights.
