2003 Denver Mayoral Transition Mayor Hickenlooper is taking a hard look at lobbying contracts left over from the prior administration, according to the Denver Post [August 5, 2003, "Mayor ends lobbying pact"]. This is an area where he and Don Mares agreed during the election. The Post quotes Michael Bennet as saying, "We're going to decide if it's worthwhile to have paid lobbyists or if it's more efficient to do things another way." 5:50:38 AM
