2003 Denver Mayoral Transition
Mayor Hickenlooper plans to tap Andrew Wallach's institutional knowledge by hiring him as a consultant for the Mayor and the Denver Water Department. Wallach resigned from the Water Board to clear the way for the Mayor to appoint a member according to the Denver Post [August 7, 2003, "Wallach resigns from Water Board"]. From the article, "Board president Denise Maes said she has 'heard a couple of names' of possible replacements, but wouldn't elaborate. Michael Bennet, Hickenlooper's chief of staff, said Hickenlooper has no replacement lined up or a timeline for his decision."
