Webcast To End 2/28/02. The headline says it all, but if you need some background you will find it in a snap. [Jazz 88 Community News at KSDS-FM.org]

Drag. More to come when I can bear to think about it.

The Comments feature is nice and the counter is excellent. Now I wish that at least the posted-to message had, as it's root, the text of the message being commented on. Right now, if you look at the comment page for a blog blurb, you don't have any link back to the original blurb (not the text or even a link). Just a suggestion. Maybe something can be done in the template?

One thing that the Comments feature doc doesn't say is that if you want to use your existing EditThisPage site for comments, you also have to go to your EditThisPage sites Prefs for Radio Hosting and enable the feature (and tweak the UI, etc.). Otherwise, it was pretty easy to turn on. Now let's see if publishing this post republishes the blog and that my comment on the Comment Count feature shows up as number 1...sure does! Now I just need to change the format a bit.

Jake's Brainpan: "Here's a new little lick for all you Radio people: You can now get a counter for the number of comments people have posted, in response to your weblog posts."  [Scripting News] So we've tried it and am posting this to see if it works. I guess I'll have to add a comment about something myself to see...hehe.

Lots of interesting images and thoughts about last night's Olympics, especially the Exhibition Skating Extravaganza. There are some good pictures over at Yahoo.

Sarah Hughes skated a nice, jazzy performance, that was pretty much as perfect as her Gold medal winner on Thursday night. She also did a 9/11 tribute, that at first I thought was kind of hokkie (being cynical of people trying to capitalize and exploit the tragedy), but I changed my mind a bit, being inspired in part by the words and music she skated to, "You'll Never Walk Alone". This is a Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein composition from the musical Carousel.

Michelle Kwan skated well and you could tell it was very emotional for her, as she was crying even before the performance was over. And I thought it was a nice touch to have the Canadian and Russian pairs do some moves together during the big finale, especially their last spiral together, all seemed to work out fine...definitely role models for how sports figures should act, says I.

Mary Wehmeier has been weblogging some interesting pieces about the Olympic skating, but didn't have anything written about the exhibition by this morning, a little disappointing. I guess I didn't either, so.

Shaking the cobwebs loose this morning. Another beautiful morning in San Diego, although it's not supposed to be so warm today. Weekend posting are somewhat sketchy, as I move into full-time daddy mode and that's tends to keep any blogoodling (weblog noodling) to a minimum. Tonight, I'm planning on checking out the live performances of THUMB and Whisper Chipper at Spruce Street Forum with Mr. Mole...hopefully my ears will open just a bit more than they already have.
