How I Feel About Reading Doc Blog In San Diego OK, so they ain't my words, but...
Ain't they such swell words?! I feel almost as lucky to be able to read Doc's blog from down south, Super San Diego way. Doc's Wednesday Page of Blogs is a piece of blogging art. It fits together so nicely with such flow from top to bottom and with such bloggery of import to many. I'm lucky to be in the many. From the top, promoing his appearance in the 2/15/2003 event Live From The Blogosphere, with this killer Pierce-Vonnagutt combo-quote (which I take liberties to re-compose ala Bill Russo) prodding into my aching thoughts of what's going on in my country and only hinted at by moi via bush-wars poster linkage and outer-cube-wall pinnage...
BUT "I myself feel that our country, for whose Constitution I fought in a just war, might as well have been invaded by Martians and body snatchers. Sometimes I wish it had been. What has happened, though, is that it has been taken over by means of the sleaziest, low-comedy, Keystone Cops-style coup d¹etat imaginable. And those now in charge of the federal government are upper-crust C-students who know no history or geography, plus not-so-closeted white supremacists, aka ³Christians,² and plus, most frighteningly, psychopathic personalities, or ³PPs.²" Doc will no doubt knock 'em dead Live (and where do I sign up to involve TNJT Live?!). Proof positive awaits those reading further into the day (or out of, as the blog world be), where he calms down Atkins ra-ra-ers, pumps up fellow RSS-ers, plays with blogophone game-ers, and gift wraps the day in green, sweet, flowery, imagery (and he invites us into his world, sharing his deepest secrets of personal grooming and availability for tooth-pick / tweezer / scissor loanage). The funny thing to me is that while it reads so well from top to bottom, it was written bottom to top. Last written first. From Back to Up. Bloggy style. I'm sure we only get to read about a fraction of the back-up that faced that first post, but thanks for sharing what you shared today and on many others before (and many more later, lord be willing). Doc Rulez!
P.S. All the other fine ideas exploding in my head, awaiting scribage, and delayed for Doc idolatry, will need to wait a few hours. Stay tuned. We'll be talking about the spiritual side of Jazz tonight on the show. Must now go rest my spirit. Much Love...VO |
