Evo Terra interprets and responds to the U. of Wisc. echinacea study. Echinacea is a very popular herbal remedy, with anecdotal evidence to support its continued use. In defence of echinacea, Evo points out some errors in the experiment's design: low grade herb was used, the placebo had complicating effects and the wrong effects were measured. Would a better designed experiment provide useful information regardless of its outcome?
