Dave Winer:

"Believe it or not I'm applying for a job in academia" ...

Good luck Dave!

But I didn't and I wonder why.

If your new year's plans include career or monetary goals then you should read Po Bronson's cover story from Fast Company's January issue, What Should I Do With My Life? It's probably in the grocery store checkout isle (read it while you wait,) but if not, Julius Welby points to the online version of the article.

Chris Hollander posts his family holiday photographs. I love this slice of life stuff, makes it all seem so real. My real friends don't blog, so they don't understand when I leave their company to come here.

I tell 'em blogging is a community activity that celebrates individual creativity [clarification added] more so than any medium I've used before.
