It's been 365 days of 101. Here's the first post.

Stepping outside around midnight, I looked up. The stars were bright! I took the Schwar telescope (a six inch f/5 dobsonian reflector) to the front porch where I had a good view of Jupiter, almost at the Zenith. I sat on the stoop and looked at the giant planet. Here's another shot at planetary photography:

The dark spot in the center is Io's shadow (according to this program) as it passes in front of Jupiter.
