I saw the Alex Payne's About Schmidt last night. Warren Schmidt is getting old. As he points out, "I may live another twenty years, or I may die tomorrow." Schmidt's pitifull post-retirement life is redeemed by a simple act of being himself. And thus ends the movie.
Moral: Happiness comes from creating happiness for someone else. Or it comes from seeing Kathy Bates naked. You choose.
