Don Strickland points to Pixelgirl's desktop picture collection. I have been looking for such a collection for a while, so I submitted my two desktop pictures:

The above image is a photograph of a sculpture, The Perfect Head in San Francisco's Palace of the Legion of Honor. It's usually on my desktop to inspire creativity and serenity.
When working against the clock, I switch to the image below. It reminds me that time is of the essence and that details are important.

Look closely. There's a clock on the left, and Fraunhofer lines in the blue part of the spectrum.
