"Facing the threat of lawsuits from a music industry trade group, fewer people are using online filesharing applications to swap songs, according to data released Monday. " [Reuters via CNN]

Still putting the final touches on the pre-release release of our iTunes-related product. We're hoping for Wednesday now.

One main issue now is frequent xml-rpc timeouts on our server. We're actually seeing timeouts on two different machines and 3 different flavors of server process. We don't know whether it's the firewall, something else at the hosting site, or something affecting all the different server processes.

While some of us have been working on those kinds of issues, others of us have been using the time to add features -- but then those have to be tested, etc. We could have instituted a feature freeze, but that would be to lose an opportunity since we've had to delay anyway and not everyone can meaningfully and simultaneously work full time on such things as xml-rpc dropouts.

An advantage of being a tiny company without marketing department deadlines is that we can keep working until we get it right. A delay is a pain, but not the end of the world.
