FYI visitors from Scripting news: Apache SOAP is a team effort. Also, don't think that Google will officially confirm or deny what code base they use, but for a number of reasons, I am fairly confident of what they are using.
While Dave is gushing... is there any chance that he could include the Apache implementation of the GoogleAPI here? It's included in the Google API download.

Parascope: "So often we read of very large companies riding rough-shod over small businesses or individuals," said David Bradley, director of Pentaplex. "But when it comes to the population of Great Britain being invited by a multi-national to wipe their bottoms on what appears to be the work of a Knight of the Realm without his permission, then a last stand must be made." Now UserLand has a means for capturing your Google keys. No, I don't think they would ever do so, but imagine if someone less scrupulous ran such a gateway. Dave previously said put a pricetag on the service asap. Trusting intermediaries and sending keys are difficult problems that IMHO must be addressed before this is a viable option. The first step is to agree on a common vocabulary for things we already have, as I describe here.
Bootstrap, bootstrap, bootstrap. Google now has a compelling service. The next step is to make it secure.
