Clay Shirky: Once you "data-fy" the functions that used to be done by middleware, you suddenly get to this place where Web Services start to look like the way to implement peer-to-peer. In Web Services, unlike the Web itself, you don't have any client/server asymmetry built in.

Ernie: It's easy to find someone who'll tell you that the answer is easy to figure out. Few people recognize that some decisions are hard because there is truth on both sides. But there is one easy truth that I have found works pretty much across the board: people are inclined to believe what they want to believe and simply look for signs of affirmation that they are right.

Simon Fell: Uggghhh, how did IComparer.Compare ever get past a design review, doesn't anyone on the framework team own a good STL book ? I will confess to having presided over a design review of this class. Templates/generics are not part of the V1 CLI spec, but there are persistent rumors that Microsoft will submit a proposal for this in the next major version. Do you have a specific concern?
