I don't think Apple is ready to fight Micro$oft. I think the advantage of Mac OS X is that it's Unix but you can use Office in it.... I hope it doesn't turn ugly.

Whew!  Just saved my data after a Windows XP crash on my new HP laptop.  Had to work all morninng on it (not something I was planning to do today).  Unfortunately, a data error caused Windows to crash (sending me to a blue screen of death).  That really wasn't a big problem.  I rebooted and found that Windows XP wouldn't reboot and kept going into a perpetual loop of disk checks.  That was a problem.  Safe-mode did the same thing.
