My California Adventure III
I'm going to California with my wife and two kids in just a month! There is still time to send hints if you have any. My plan is as follows I will spend from the 14 until the 22 of August, the until the 24 in Santa Cruz (with Bruno), then until the 27 in Carmel, I'll spend that night in San Luis Obispo and then until the 30 og augutst in Santa Barabara (though we don't know if Gustavo will be there), finally will be in Anaheim until September 8.
I've planed trips for Napa, Berkeley and San José, while in San Francisco, and to the San Diego Zoo and Universal Studios while in Anaheim, of course most of the time there will be spent in Disneyland and California Adventure.
So tell me: what else should I do?

Mac OS X as preventive medicine [MacCentral]John Welch, information systems manager for the MIT Police Department in Cambridge, Mass., argues that homogeneous computing environments make it easier for viruses to propagate. "If your network got the Klez virus, for example, in a homogeneous [operating system] population, you're at a much greater risk," he says. Ideally, Welch suggests, you should deploy servers with alternate operating systems throughout your network, which will slow the virus' infection rate.
Finally! A voice of reason...

Browne expands on OS X allegations'Since OS X was introduced, Apple has spent 20x more on advertising iPods than on advertising OS X. They have a great product in OS X, but changing operating systems is a big undertaking for customers. It involves directs costs for hardware and software upgrades, you have to learn the new interface, etc. We would like to see Apple do a better job of explaining the benefits of OS X, so more people will feel the investment is worthwhile.
He is obviously lying here. Has there been more than one TV ad for the iPod? How many ads to the switch campaign? Obviously what he wants is for Apple to advertise to its current customers instead of going after switchers, so much rubbish. Pity, I used to respect Browne, before this nonsense.
