Wonderful time at the San Diego Wild Animal Park, which I confused with the San Diego Zoo... We will have to miss the later, but the former was really a great and different experience!

Some observations about my trip to California...
- Driving in the USA: if you drive at the speed limit you are the slowest of all cars. Driving ten miles over will still keep you in the slow part of the curve. Police drive about 30 miles over the limit. Why have speed limit laws? because they get a lot of money from tickets...
- California weather: California has excellent weather when you average out the fog cold from the north coast with the hot desert from the south... This actually happens in Santa Barbara... Of course, any place in California has better weather than say Michigan, but who cares?
- Quality of life: There is a lot of money in California, but it doesn't translate well into a better life. All the advantages like nice shops, decent wine, and restaurants get sort of canceled out by price, and time spent waiting... I waited for 20 minutes to get a table at La Vie de France in a Mall, for God sakes!. Worst one (of the chain) I've ever been into...
