Computer Science professor fails to understand Spam is a technically solved problem.

Has this guy ever used a Spam filter? The Spam filter in Apple's Mail program blocks almost all my Spam with very few false positive. The reason Spam is easier to solve than viri is that you have to block all viri, since even one can be deadly, but you only have to block enough Spam as to make your mail manageable. There are several software packages that do this already. Why can't supposed experts see them? Because they do not use current computers. They are stuck in what everybody has they do not try new Operating Systems, because is too hard. In other words: They are no experts, but they are very willing to shout advice from their mud pedestals...
