Hacker causes havoc for websites. Up to 1,500 sites could have been affected by an attack on a server owned by a UK web hosting firm. [BBC News | Technology | UK Edition]
Clients lost information because neither the hosting company, nor the clients, had back up of what was on the server... Sometimes these stories makes you think they deserved to be attacked.

Madonna.com hacked. After Madonna rudely planted fake tracks from her new record last week on the P2Pnets (see Cory's post below), a prankster responded on Saturday by hacking madonna.com and posting MP3s of the entire album four days before it hit stores. [Boing Boing Blog]
For those who think Micro$oft is the security problem, Madonna's site used Apache with Solaris 8. Nobody can witstand a direct attack. And that's one reason why pranks like Madonna's end up backfiring...
