EMusic vs. Apple's Music Store. Short piece explaining why EMusic is better than Apple's new music store. I agree with everything the author says here. You could argue that Apple offers new, popular music, while EMusic has back catalog and less popular stuff only. That's true, but for me, the Cheap Suit Serenaders beat Eminem any day. [Boing Boing Blog]

It's amazing how many intelligent people do not understand the music business, including music business executives. Let me make it clear: The Music Business is about choice. Nothing else. Napster was a hit, because you could find more music than in any record store. It was music you knew and loved, music that was recommended by friends and you tried it. eMusic has nothing people know. Yes, there is some good music there, but it is hard to find. Apple has a problem too. It has serious missing artists, and I wonder if they will work that fast enough. But writing like this just shows that the intelligence in the world is a constant... But the population keeps growing...

Apple Music Store: The New 8-Track Tape? [MacSlash: A daily dose of Macintosh News and Discussion]

The criticism of the iTunes Music Store is going overboard. There are real things that are wrong with it. No need to make them up. The guy from MacObserver manages to say, in the same review, that CDs are better and that the problem with the iMS is that it locks you in CDs... an outdated media. Man, get a brain that works!
