Spam e-mails tempt net shoppers. Computer users continue to ignore warnings about spam and are being lured into buying goods, a report suggests. [BBC News | News Front Page | UK Edition] That's what I've been telling you! The reason we have more and more SPAM is because it fucking works! People respond to this kind of abusive and intrusive advertising, sure the lady in pink gets angry at the Viagra ads and penis enhancement enticements, but in the next step she will click to see the fabulous "almost authentique" Rolex for 75$.

Password Security Not Easy [Slashdot:]
Especially if it is dumb and not very well thought. The reasoning behind changing a password every few months is stupid. Passwords that are good are always good. A password shouldn't be changed because its old any more than a key does. Yes, being old makes it more likely that it has been cracked (or the key duped), but if there is no reason to think it mary have been cracked other than age it is stupid to change it. Chances are the new password will be easier to guess....
