When the Blogger Blogs, Can the Employer Intervene?. After several high-profile incidents of bloggers being fired by their employers, companies are finally addressing the problems of employees who may be telling the world their business. By By TOM ZELLER Jr.. [NYT > Technology]

This topic has been much discussed elsewhere, but since I do not subscribe to the common wisdom I think my ideas are worth repeating. I think bloggin is no different for other parts of yopur private life. You can be fired for those (especially in at will employment states and countries). You have to think whether or not it is worth it. If you get fired for something stupid or unfair, like showing your sexuality or expressing your beliefs (not related to the company), you are actually better off than working in a place with that controlling a mind set. On the other hand, if you discussed your company secrets in public... Man, you deserve what you get.
