On tuesday we picked up our two cars and we droved to Segovia. I was driving an enormous van that fit 7 occupants. We got to Segovia, walked around the sights and then went to el Meson de Candido to, you guessed it, celebrate my Mother's 80th birthday! It is an interesting place where we used to go when we lived in Spain. It has a long tradition part of that tradition is preparing, by Royal authorization, roasted piglet. They bring it whole to the table and after one of the descendant of the original owner, reads the royal decree cuts the piglet with a plate and throws the plate to the floor braking it in a million pieces. I kept one of the pieces as a memento and have been protecting it from the people that want to throw away the broken plate.
