Many developers write asp pages without using VID. There are plenty of other tools available. Personally I've always liked Dreamweaver. This may explain why I was so pleasantly surprised that VS.NET goes through your entire project and makes certain a "web form" that you've renamed is properly references wherever its called - in the HTML as well as code-behind classes. Call me silly. Anyway its probably one of those things thats been part and parcel of MS tools since Notepad ( yeah right...) and I just hadn't noticed it before.

Phil pointed out that the Dreamweaver XHTML item was very useful. He mentioned another useful tool is Chami's HTML-Kit, especially since it has a gazillion add-ins available. - Thanks Phil!
