Paolo Valdemarin Public Weblog: Is the web becoming dangerous?: "But Microsoft managed, illegally, to gain a monopolistic position on the market.
Whatever they did to get where they are, the should at least be held responsible for the software they make. It's just absurd that they keep creating damages to millions of people around the world without anybody even trying to make them pay. " Another clearly thought out essay from Paolo. I've been ranting about this for some time. One of the many problems with the MS monopoly is that a malicious hacker can write viruses to attack one programme knowing that it will have a huge impact since 'everyone' is using that programme. If there were more competition the results of a virus would be less catastrophic.
